Strategic Plan 2018-21

The board of directors, local governors, senior leaders and staff across the trust worked together to create our first three -year strategic plan for 2018-21.   This has been refreshed each year to take into account changes in the trust's context and priorities.
The version for 2020-21 reflects a smaller number of focused priorities in light of the Covid-19 pandemic, which continues to have a significant impact operationally in schools and on the trust's capacity to fulfil all of its strategic aims.  The strategic priorities for 2020-21 were approved by the board of directors in November 2020 (the contextual information within the plan does not include St Hild's Church of England School as it did not join NEAT until April 2021):

Priority 1: Trust manages and recovers from Covid-19

Priority 2: Trust successfully develops and implements a growth strategy

Priority 3: All academies deliver a high quality education
The board has committed to reviewing the trust's common purpose and vision and developing a new strategy for the next 3-5 years during 2020-21.  We will engage internal and external stakeholders to help us carry out this strategy review to ensure we understand the needs of our communities and they have a voice in shaping the future of our trust.
The board has agreed a strategy development and review framework, in consultation with Headteachers and Chairs of Local Governing Committees, for the trust (which is adapted from a similar framework used in the NHS):
