Vacancies Local Governing Committee Members

Do you want to create a better future for young people across the north east?

Would you like to make a difference with local communities?

Could you commit to giving something back to the education sector?

NEAT Academy Trust is a multi-academy trust of six schools across Tyneside and Teesside providing for 2-19 year olds within both Church of England and non-Church schools.  We are a charitable organisation with an ambitious vision for the next five years of our journey, supported by the values that are at the heart of our trust.  Our staff are passionate and committed to delivering the best education experience possible for all of our pupils.

Working as a team with complementary skills and experience, each local governing committee works with their school’s leadership team to shape the vision and ethos of the school, provides independent scrutiny and evaluation of how well it is performing and engages with pupils, parents, staff and the local community.  The committee reports to the trust’s Board of Directors, who are also volunteers, and oversee all of the schools within the trust, its strategy and its finances.

You can hear about being a local governing committee member in NEAT by watching videos of some of our current governors talking about their experiences:
