NEAT Academy Trust is delighted to announce that we have been selected by the Department for Education as the sponsor match for St Hild’s Church of England School. This recognises our continuing journey of improvement since the trust was formed in 2017 and that we now have the capacity to support other schools to improve.
St Hild’s is an excellent match for NEAT as it will bring another secondary school into the trust to work collaboratively with Benfield School.
Debi Bailey, NEAT CEO commented, “I have had the privilege of getting to know the students and staff at St Hild’s during my time on the Interim Executive Board appointed by the Department for Education to run the school in preparation for it becoming an academy. I feel our vision as a trust aligns perfectly with the vision of St Hild’s.”
St Hild’s will engage with pupils, parents/carers, staff, local schools/colleges and Church of England representatives over the weeks ahead with views sought by a deadline of Thursday 4 February 2021. There is a target date of 1 April 2021 for the school to join NEAT and become an academy.
