Welcome to NEAT Academy Trust. I hope you enjoy finding out more about who we are, what we do and what is important to us.
As CEO, I believe passionately that education opens doors and enables a better future for our children and young people. As a trust with both primary and secondary schools, we have a real opportunity to ensure seamless transition as we offer an all-through education from cradle to career.
Teaching and learning and evidence-based practice is integral to our work and we have invested in developing a NEAT curriculum, which gives our learners a range of experiences – as well as a first-class education – to prepare them for the next stage of their lives. With Newcastle Research School within our trust, we are able to access and generate research that informs our thinking and we work proactively with schools across the north-east region to share this.
At the heart of NEAT is an absolute belief that partnerships make the difference and we engage proactively with a wide range of external partners: locally, regionally and nationally. All of our schools put family working at the centre of everything we do and we have a dedicated welfare team who work with our families to overcome any barriers. Our schools have developed very effective partnerships across our local community and this enables us to support all learners including our most vulnerable families.
As Nelson Mandela said, “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world”. We believe that starts with a passion and a commitment to making a difference.
