National Careers Week 2026 takes place from Monday 2 March to Saturday 7 March, with the national theme Own Your Future.

The week encourages young people to explore opportunities, build skills, and make informed decisions about their next steps.

At NEAT Academy Trust, careers education is embedded through our Cradle to Careers strategy. This approach ensures that pupils develop awareness, confidence, and aspiration from the early years through to post-16 progression.

Across our schools, pupils engage with employers, explore progression pathways, and take part in structured work experience. We continue to strengthen employer partnerships and pilot approaches that enhance preparation for meaningful placements.

National Careers Week provides a focused opportunity to highlight this work across the Trust. It also builds momentum ahead of NEAT Careers Week, beginning Monday 16 March, where we will further celebrate employer engagement and pupil ambition.

Supporting pupils to own their future means providing clarity about options, honest conversations about expectations, and structured opportunities to develop skills. Through partnership and progressive planning, we remain committed to strengthening preparation for employment, apprenticeships, and further study across Newcastle and the wider region.
