As 2024 draws to a close, Debi Bailey, CEO of NEAT Academy Trust, shares her reflections on a successful year and her hopes for the year ahead.

A Year of Progress and Growth

It has been an exceptional term across all NEAT schools. From the launch of the NEAT Pupil Council—bringing together inspirational student voices from every school—to significant strides in attendance, we are proud of what has been achieved.

Through collaborative efforts, persistent absence has reduced or remained low, ensuring that more pupils benefit from consistent learning. Alongside this, the Trust has focused on Quality First Teaching, delivering training and ongoing support to continually raise standards.

Another highlight of the term was the NEAT Business Breakfast, hosted at Benfield School, which showcased the strength of our partnerships with local businesses and organisations. This marks the beginning of exciting collaborations that will enhance opportunities for our pupils, families, and the wider community.

Welcoming New Members to the NEAT Family

In January 2025, we are thrilled to officially welcome St Peter’s into the NEAT family. This new phase builds on an already strong partnership, as we continue to grow together in our mission to help every pupil achieve their potential.

Looking Ahead

In January 2025, we are thrilled to officially welcome St Peter’s into the NEAT family. This new phase builds on an already strong partnership, as we continue to grow together in our mission to help every pupil achieve their potential. Looking Ahead NEAT’s continued focus on community engagement, strategic partnerships, and the NEAT Experience will ensure that pupils are supported not only academically but in building character and confidence for life beyond school.

Debi Bailey reflects:

“Our Trust is a family, and it’s a privilege to work with our pupils, families, and staff. Christmas is a special time to reflect, rest, and reset for the new year. Thank you to all of our partners and communities for their continued support as we work together to grow potential.”

While Christmas is a time of joy for many, it can also be challenging for some. We encourage families to reach out if they need help—our schools are here to support you.

From everyone at NEAT Academy Trust, we wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy, Healthy New Year. Let’s continue working together to create opportunities, drive positive change, and support our communities in 2025.
